Our Story
Marcapa is a family-owned and operated business that grew out of a daughter’s love for her father. In 2019, Sarah’s father, Kamalul, was diagnosed with a heart condition and was not able to receive corrective surgery. Sarah started to look for natural and herbal remedies to improve her father’s symptoms and started to learn more about the medical benefits of black ginger. Black ginger has been used for centuries to improve cardiovascular health along with other conditions. She purchased black ginger and insisted that her father take it daily and over time his symptoms and vitals started to improve.
Sarah and Kamalul wanted to bring the benefits of black ginger to more people and decided to harvest and extract black ginger in their hillside town in Malaysia. Growing the highest quality black ginger was only the first step of the process. As a chemical engineer, Kamalul created a proprietary extraction technique to distill the black ginger into it’s purest and most effective form.
Marcapa is now sold worldwide and we’re excited for you to experience the benefits of Marcapa black ginger.
